The best way to have a good idea is to have a lot of ideas says Sangam Bahuguna, the well known stage actor and director in an interview with HT CITY.

Born in Lucknow, Sangam used to perform in cultural activities and program during his college days. His brother used to score music for Sanket Theatre Group at that time. He used to take Sangam for the rehearsal sessions. This is where the journey of the actor started.

Currently, he runs a business of pesticides distributorship for solving his monetary needs. He is also qualified with a degree of MSW and LLB.Yeh Mera Junoon Hai Jo Mujhe Theatre Se Alag Nahi Hone Deta (It is my passion towards theatre, that it does not let me separate from it.)

The artist has acted in more than 80 plays and has directed more than 21 full length comedy dramas. The actor has contributed more than 35 years in the field of theatre.

The actor raises his strong point for ticketing issue for viewing the plays. So that it can help the amateur artists.

Some of his famous plays include Saiyan Bhaye Kotwal, Sab Gadbad Hai,Miss Aloowaliya and Dhong.All the plays he has directed are comedy ones. Because he believes that any message can be given easily through the means of comedy and laughter.

He has also acted in other regional languages like Ghadwali and Awadhi language except Hindi. The actor is the recipient of the Sangeet Natak Award in the year 2000 for acting.

Currently he is working as the General. Secretary of ManchKriti Theater Group and also the Joint Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Kalakar Association.
