GLAZED KITE STRINGS RISKING FEW MORE LIVES

 Glazed kite strings risking few more lives

Kites have been the means of one’s entertainment.But have you ever
heard a person gettng hurt with a kite’ s  strings.Hindustan Times
Caught up with such incidents happening in the city as well.

One such incident happened when Divya Khanna student of BBd College
was going to watch a movie with her friends in Fun Republic
Cinema,when suddenly a glazed kite string came and slashed her nose.

Hussain Ganj,Latouche Road,Chowk,Jiamau,Gomti River area and
Aurangabad are some of the major kite flying areas.

Similar incident happened when Chetna Dhuper resident of Alambagh was
driving near Purana Qila ,Cantt area when a kite string came and
scratched her neck,and also spread infection, the marks are still
visible, she adds.

The most harmful maanjas used these days are Kai ard Raatai manjaa
which are harmful for the skin that’s why kite flyers wear tapes or
bandages around their fingers.

Another  victim of this dreadful act is Varun who was driving through
Gomti Nagar when a kite string came and slashed his finger and
scratched his chest, he got more than 8 stitches on his finger.

Some of the major places of the kite and Manjaa selling business
includeHussain Ganj,Alambagh,Latouche Road and Chowk mandi –Akbari
gate.

Kite flying should be banned in the city.There are some other places
like Chennai where kite flying has been banned.Because such activities
like kite flying are done for entertainment and not harming others.
